Rare to have local variations due to near uniformity of terrain elevations in region. Sometimes useful in indicating uncertianty.

Haven't used this enough to really evaluate accuracy

not tested

This seems like i would be the
least useful of all the parameters.

Rightly or wrongly I use this as a measure of uncertainty in the thermal height and strength f/c. Seems to work fairly well used that way.
On a given day and time all thermals seem relatively consistent heightwise and variability over predicts.

Again local conditions modify the atmospherics to much.
276 =========== Doug Levy *AT* Warner Springs, Ca
I don't use this often
306 =========== ---------- *AT* Mission Peak -- Fremont, CA
I generally use this as an indicator of whether I should look for additional information on the day when Hcrit etc looks poor, but THV is high.
307 =========== ---------- *AT* Elko, BC
I look at this to see if other parameters will be useful.
377 =========== ---------- *AT* Wurtsboro, NY
Difficult to answer Accuracy and Average Error questions.
381 =========== Ben Rogers *AT* hernandez
hard to use. Think I know what's it's for.
441 =========== ---------- *AT* La Grange, GA
Doesn't seem to be worth being bothered about. Maybe THATS why I don't win those contests ... Never checked into the variability of this parameter on different types of days.
467 =========== John Medley *AT* Crystalaire Llano, CA
Have not been keeping track of "error" enough to provide a comment in that column on this one
468 =========== ---------- *AT* Austin, TX
I use this, but not often -- get the info important to me here from a Skew T
